Alpha Course

The Alpha Course is a short course which explores the Questions of Life from a Christian perspective. Some sessions include:

Session	Content
Who is Jesus?	Explores the person of Jesus Christ - who was he? Did he really exist? Who did he claim to be? What does it matter?
Why did Jesus have to die?	Who are we? Did Jesus die willingly or not? If he was God then why did he not save himself?
Why and how do I pray?	What is prayer for? Does it really work? Why should I pray?
How can I resist evil?	Is there evil? If so, how do I resist evil in my life?
What about the church?	What's the point of the church ? Why bother with church? What reasons are there for going to church?
How can I make the most of the rest of my life?	Where did you come from? Where are you going? Why are we here?

The Marriage Course

This course will start when we have sufficient numbers of participants (3 couples minimum needed). So, get your friends and register together!

What: The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions designed to help any married couple strengthen their relationship. Set in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, you will never be asked to do any group work or to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner.
Who: All couples are welcome. Couples may sign-up individually or with a group of other couples who are friends and do the course together at the same time.
How: Please contact us to put your name on the list of interested parties and we will contact you soon thereafter. Or fill out the e-form below and you will hear from us shortly.
Cost: £2 per person which helps cover the cost of the materials required to run the course (e.g. Guest Manuals, DVD, etc) .

The Parenting Course

The parenting course is five sessions which helps parents come to grips with some of the areas such as how do I set boundaries, how do I show love to my children, how do my spouse/partner and I parent together, and other questions. Please contact us by using the form below if you are interested or just want to ask us questions about the course. This course will start when there are sufficient numbers registered so get some friends and signup together!

The Freedom in Christ Course

This course is designed to help people resolve personal and spiritual conflicts through renewing one's mind and setting it on the truth of Christ. It is a 13-part course which includes the "Steps to Freedom in Christ" which specifically helps people break free of condemning thoughts, patterns of wrong behaviour, spiritual struggles, and hopelessness. This course had been put together by Dr. Neil Anderson and adapted to the UK by UK Freedom in Christ Director, Steve Goss.

Football Course, 30th August - 2nd September 2011 (all children ages 6 - 15)

• When: Tuesday - Friday, 30th August to 2nd September 2011 everyday 10am - 4pm (bring a packed lunch)
• Where: on the football pitches behind Martin Heath Hall off the A51 (drop off/pickup at the Scout Hut nr. Martin Heath Hall, Christchurch Lane, map>)
• What: All children ages 6 - 15 years can enjoy the training and fun which former pro player Derek Jefferson and his coaches bring to the game each day!!
• Cost: if you signup by the Earlybird special date of 12th June the cost is £25 (£15 ea. subsequent sibling) . If you signup by the deadline of the 8th July the cost is £30 (£20 ea. subsequent sibling) . Late registration after the deadline is £35 for the first child (£20 for ea. subsequent sibling).
• How: To sign-up online first fill out the webform below and click "submit" button. Then pay via paypal. Or if you prefer to signup via post then download a sign-up form (Adobe Acrobat pdf file, 500kb), print it and post it to the address on the form with payment in order to secure a spot on the course. Cheques made payable to "Darwin Park Community Church". Or alternatively put the sign-up form through our door (address on the sign-up form).

Read the information about the course, fill out the webform below and then pay online via PayPal Course Information Dear Parents, Darwin Park Community Church is pleased to announce the DPCC Football Course especially designed for your children. We are partnering with Sports Pursuits founded by ex-professional footballer Derek Jefferson. The children will benefit from the expertise of Derek and his level 2 qualified coaches/CRB checked. The aim of the course is to give children a constructive activity during the holiday time. Additionally the course will instill football skills as well as self-esteem, confidence and respect for one another. The children will be coached in groups according to their age (so bring a friend!). We will have a break each day for lunch, requiring the children to bring a packed lunch from home. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch if and when able. On Friday the last day there will be a presentation ceremony after lunch. All are invited! Cost: Earlybird Sign-up by 12th June: £25 initial child (£15 after) Sign-up deadline Friday, July 8th: £30 initial child (£20 afterwards) Late Sign-up: £35 initial child (£20 afterwards)

The refunded amount will be at organiser's (Darwin Park Community Church & Sports Pursuits) discretion. No refund can be made should someone leave the course before the end or if inclement weather conditions should prevent any published activity taking place. The organisers cannot accept responsibility for any loss of personal belongings if they have not been handed in for safe keeping OR for any accident that may occur resulting in injury or loss of limb or life whilst having coaching or tuition, or taking part in any activity whether organised or unorganised, or once a participant has left any of the premises which may be used during a course, although every care will be taken to ensure the safety and welfare of all participants.
